Naagin 4's Vijayendra Kumeria opens up on makers revamping the show; 'We will be shooting the end'

Naagin had been in its fourth installment before the lockdown. The supernatural thriller show began in December. It had been doing fairly well in the initial few weeks but soon the TRP had been dropping. In March, Rashami Desai had entered the show in place of Jasmin Bhasin as Nayantara. Naagin 4 originally stars Nia Sharma as Brinda and Vijayendra Kumeria as Dev. A few days ago reports of the show being revamped had been surfaced and that's true enough. Reports of the channel and the makers taking a decision amidst the lockdown and given the loss incurred as the result of the same, they had been planning to let go of a few characters post lockdown and now, it is being said that the show will be axed altogether and give way to a new season, Naagin 5.

Vijayendra Kumeria who plays Dev Parikh in Naagin 4 opened up on the reports in an interview with Pinkvilla. "What I have heard is we will be wrapping up the show after the lockdown, but we will be shooting the end. However, I don't know about season 5 yet," he told the entertainment portal.

When prodded further, Vijayendra said that he expected this to happen given the situation. "I know that this is going to happen in the industry so I was expecting this to happen given the fact that it has happened with a lot of shows so I am okay with that, hopefully, something will come about," he added.

Meanwhile, it is Rashami Desai's character, Shalaka who has been axed from the show. These are trying times and with the production of films and TV shows being stalled, such a situation was expected. A lot of shows have been axed without a conclusion. This has left many people jobless and worried about their financial situation.
