WTF Wednesday: This cop imitating Ajay Devgn's stunt from Phool Aur Kante just destroyed the hard work being done by the police force – watch video

Ajay Devgn has been one of the poster boys for all young kids growing up in the 90's, especially ones who love action. The actor's entry scene from the film Phool Aur Kaante is iconic to say the least. Ajay Devgn, who is quite a daredevil, made his entry straddled across two bikes. Now, a cop from Madhya Pradesh, SI Manoj Yadav, SHO Narsinghgarh PS of Damoh district, has made a video where he is seen imitating Devgn, straddled across two cars. His legs are balanced on two Honda cars that are being driven rather slowly, with the title music of Singham playing in the background.

Well, the video has gone viral and the cop was held accountable for his irresponsible behaviour. He was asked to shell out a fine of Rs. 5000, after being subjected to a dressing down by his seniors. It is not unusual to see young people wanting to ape stunts seen on TV and films. But broadcasters always put out that statutory warning that those stunts are performed under the supervision of experts and after much training and that none of it should be repeated at home. We have seen how people have lost their lives trying out stunts from films. In 2012, a young man lost his life trying to copy Salman Khan's stunt from the film, Ek Tha Tiger. And he is not the lone casualty to have fallen prey to such irresponsible incidents.

The coronavirus pandemic is upon us and cops all over India are toiling day and night to save the situation. From giving rations to the elderly to ensuring that social distancing is being maintained, if India is managing somewhat better than several other countries, a lot of credit for that goes to our police officers, medicos and other frontline workers. This video is a disgrace to those people who are working so hard for us. The police force is seen as one of the pillars of society and such stupidity gives out a wrong message. While Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty have made us hoot with their jaw-dropping action scenes, this is one incident which we are sure will be dissed by them as well.
