Chiyaan 60: Karthik Subbaraj REVEALS inside details about directing Vikram and son Dhruv's first film together [Exclusive]

Chiyaan Vikram has not been having the greatest of times at the box office or with critics of late. However, an actor of his caliber and superstar of his stature can't be kept quiet for long, can he? This time though, the expectations from his upcoming film, Chiyaan 60 (tentative tile) are far more that those of his recent ventures, since he'll be teaming with his son, Dhruv, who made a promising debut in Adithya Varma, the offical Tamil remake of Telugu blockbuster, Arjun Reddy. And the expectation for this mega-project have fallen on the shoulders of Director Karthik Subbaraj, who's known for turning whatever he touches into gold.

In an exclusive interview with BollywoodLife, Karthik Subaraj graciously agreed to divulge some tasty scoop about Chiyaan 60, disclosing inside details about how the collaboration took place, the genre of the film and its cast. "I'm also a very big fan of his. he's one of the great performers we have. This development happened when we recently had a meeting during lockdown; we just had a discussion, I came up with some ideas, he liked them and we decided to kickstart the film. I'm actually working on the script right now, so can't reveal much, but I'm excited to see Vikram sir in that character," said Karthik.

Speaking about Vikram's look, which the actor is known to experiment with in each film, the ace Director added, "It's all in the very initial stages, so it's not something I can say much about right now."

Opening up on the film's genre and the rest of the cast, Karthik stated, "It's an action drama. We'll be. The rest of the case is yet to be finalised. Right now, only Vikram and his son is on board."

Well, after giving Rajinikanth his best film and biggest hit in years with Petta, we hope that Karthik Subbaraj does the same with Chiyaan Vikram.
