When Priyanka Chopra REVEALED how her family used to call her 'kaali, kaali, kaali' just for fun

Our 'Desi Girl' Priyanka Chopra is making us proud on the global map with her acting skills and philanthropic work. While we can't deny the fact that former Miss World is one of the most beautiful women in the universe, the actress used to get tease from her family due to her dusky complexion. In an old interview with Barkha Dutt, the Dostana actress had said, "All my cousins are gora-chitta. I was the one who turned out dusky because my dad is dusky. Just for fun, my Punjabi family would call me 'kaali, kaali, kaali'. At 13, I wanted to put fairness creams and wanted my complexion changed."

She also revealed that when she entered the industry, the actress knew that she is pretty and decided not to do any endorsements of a fairness product. "I did do a fairness endorsement for a year and then I felt like 'I look pretty alright.' I shouldn't, I don't wanna do this and then I didn't do it," said PeeCee. Recently, Priyanka Chopra had announced a donation to women who are doing their bit in these trying times. Releasing a statement, Priyanka had said, "We will be donating $100,000 in total to women who are rising above everything during this crisis. If you know a woman we should highlight, share her story with us, whether she is in the service industry, from a large business, small business owner, or first responders on the front lines. We want to commemorate her. #TogetherWomenRise."

Priyanka and Nick have not only donated to PM-Cares Fund but to many other charities and organizations. Earlier, the couple made donations to PM-Cares Fund, Unicef, Feeding America, Goonj and many other organizations. Sharing this news with their fans, Priyanka had put up an Instagram with a caption that read: These organizations are doing amazing work by helping those impacted by #Covid19. They are feeding the hungry, supporting doctors and first responders, helping low income and homeless communities, and supporting our colleagues in the entertainment industry. Nick and I have donated to these charities: @unicef, @FeedingAmerica, @goonj, #DoctorsWithoutBorders, @nokidhungry, @GiveIndia, and @sagaftra, #IAHV, #Aseema, and #PMCARES fund."
