With lockdown being what it is, coupled with the burgeoning rate at which web series and web films have gained popularity across the nation, this period has seen binge-watching on OTT platforms like never before. However, only a handful among them within the realm of Indian digital content truly made their mark, and along with the writing and production values, major credit for this must go to the actors who were a part of these path-breaking shows and films. Today, as a part of #BLBestOf6, we are here to talk about the best actors (male) in Indian online content over the first six months of 2020, and have shortlisted six names that truly left a mark. (Note: We've not included those performances that were a part of films, which were initially supposed to release in theatres, but later opted for OTT platforms.)

1.) Jaideep Ahlawat Paatal Lok

Box-office constraints never permitted Jaideep Ahlawat to bag a lead role in a Bollywood film. But when the freedom of the digital space handed him the opportunity, he grabbed it with both hands.

2.) Manoj Bajpayee Bhonsle

If you wish to see how utter silence can speak a hundred words and convey a thousand emotions, then watch Manoj Bajpayee's sterling act in Bhonsle. Then again, were we never in doubt that pulling off such a challenging role was all in a days work for one of India's greatest actors ever.

3.) Arshad Warsi Asur

Everyone got so accustomed to enjoying Arshad's brilliant comic timing that neither filmmakers nor the audience ever imagined what else Arshad Warsi could do, till Asur came along and gave him a serious, darkly dramatic role, which he sunk his teeth into.

4.) Ronit Roy Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain 3

Despite reprising his character from the first two seasons, Ronit Roy, and only Ronit Roy could've added new dimensions and made a role we had gone used to watching appear so fresh and interesting.

5.) Vir Das Hasmukh

Combining his innate comic talents with his vivid imagination, Vir Das created a showcase for his talents and did complete justice to it.

6.) Zain Imam Never Kiss Your Best Friend 2

Being cool and urbane comes naturally to Zain Imam, and he was naturally good in this role tailor-made for him.
