Meanwhile, in an interview, Dulquer was asked about his choice of roles. Dulquer is not hungry for more screen time and he was quizzed about the same as not every actor these days is comfortable in doing such roles. However, Dulquer had an interesting take on it. "I always think I want to be part of the best films of the year and that vision is always there. I don't do films for my stardom. I'm always open to stuff like this. The film is the hero and the script is the hero. If the film is good, everyone wins. If the film is bad, we all take a hit." he said to a portal.

Nepotism has been a debate in the industry for a long time. But Dulquer has never been the one to live in his father's shadow. He respects his father and is his huge fan of the kind of films that he has done. Dulquer had even opened up on how he loves filmmaking and has a very keen interest in directing films. Talking about the same, he said, "I used to make short films even as a kid. I used to have a camera and play around with it. So, I was always interested in the process and telling stories. I've always wanted to direct. Acting was something I was afraid of because of the comparisons to my father. And I think that's what I wanted to overcome. I still want to direct a film but the main goal right now is to be part of as many great films as possible. That is keeping me very busy as an actor. So, I don't know if I can afford to take time off and direct a film. Because if I want to do that, I want to do it entirely...be completely immersed in it. I want to spend time on pre-production...everything."
