Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is made by Asit Kumar Modi. It is based on a Gujarati comic strip. Actors like Dilip Joshi, Disha Vakani, Munmun Dutta and others on the show enjoy a huge fan-following. For many, Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal is the best comic actor on Indian TV. The shooting of the show has resumed with huge precautions. Joshi said that the set felt like a hospital on day one. However, they are coping well. And, we are also positive that the writers will pull their socks up and soon make up for the first episode that drew mixed reviews.
