Chetan Bhagat believes the media reports broke Sushant Singh Rajput; says, 'He used to be affected by negative press'

Sushant Singh Rajput's passing away has been a huge shock for al of us. A lot of stories have come out regarding this suicide case and its getting darker each passing day. We have heard many people having so many different views on this case. Now, Chetan Bhagat has reacted to Sushant's passing away. He has called Kangana Ranaut a brave person and said that Sushant was affected by things said about him in the media. In an interview with Times Now, Chetan Bhagat said, "They broke him, the media reports broke him. It mattered to him when they called him a TV actor." He said that he, too, used to be affected by negative press, despite being the top-read author in the country for several years, but added that he had developed a maturity about it. "When you have allegations that he had done things to women without consent that is devastating for a man."

Chetan Bhagat also said that the blind items affected him and those were read by everyone in the industry. He also blamed the actors for talking about mental health and giving interviews to journalists. He said, "The same stars who talk about mental health all day are giving interviews to this filmy journalist." He also spoke about Sushant Singh Rajput's Kai Po Che and said, "No one wanted to produce Kai Po Che as it was based on Godhra riots in Gujarat. Then Abhishek decided that we will get newcomers in the film. But even for Sushant, it was a very risky move as it wasn't a love story or there was no lead in particular." He also revealed that Sushant was supposed to collaborate with him for Half Girlfriend but the actor departed from the role and hence it went to Arjun Kapoor.

Chetan Bhagat also said that when he met Sushant in 2017 at a party, he was fine. He said that a psychiatrist would be better qualified to comment on Sushant's mental health. He also said that the Sushant he knew was quiet and had an adorable gullibility to him.
