Coronavirus Pandemic: Dilip Kumar's brothers test positive for COVID-19; admitted to Lilavati Hospital

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar's younger brothers Ehsaan Khan and Aslam Khan have tested positive for coronavirus. They have been admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital. Both of them have been on non-invasive ventilator support. Ehsaan is 90 years old while Aslam is just few years younger than him. Ehsaan and Aslam had severe disputes with Dilip Kumar in the past over property and stayed together. A source close to the Times Of India said, "Ehsaan Khan and Aslam Khan complained of breathlessness. They were advised by Dr Nitin Gokhale (leading cardiologist) to get hospitalised as their oxygen levels were quite low. The two also have a history of blood pressure and heart ailment."

Both of Dilip Kumar's brothers have been admitted under Dr Jalil Parkar. Dr Jalil Parkar told TOI, "Yes, Aslam Khan and Ehsaan Khan are on non-invasive ventilator support. They had hypoxia, their oxygen saturation was less than 94, both also had cough and fever." Last week, Sanjay Dutt was also admitted under the same doctor. It was recently revealed that the actor has lung cancer and will soon be moving to the USA for treatment. Sanjay Dutt's wife, Maanayata Dutt, released an official statement thanking the actor's fans for their wishes. "There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident, this too shall pass. Sanju has always been a fighter, and so has our family. God has yet again chosen to test us to overcome the challenges ahead. All we seek is your prayers and blessings, and we know we will emerge as winners on the other side, as we always have. Let us use this opportunity to spread light and positivity," read her statement.

Talking about Dilip Kumar, the veteran actor has been asking his fans to stay home to prevent the spread of coronavirus through his tweets. One of his tweet read, "I appeal to all of you to protect yourself and others by staying indoors as much as possible. The #CoronavirusOutbreak transcends all boundaries and borders. Follow guidelines issued by health departments, protect yourself and others by limiting your exposure to others."
