MD Dhoni retires: Sidharth Shukla, Nakuul Mehta and other TV celebs bid farewell to the former Indian skipper

Yesterday, Indian's captain cool, Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his retirement by taking to his social media handle. It came as a huge shock and surprise to everyone in the country. MSD's contribution to Indian cricket is unmatched. He has always been calm and confident both on and off the field. He shared a montage of pictures from his career as an Indian batsman and wicket-keeper with his favourite song playing in the background, 'Main pal do pal ka shayar hoon'. "Thank. Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout.from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired," he wrote alongside the video. In the video, we can see him through his various phases. Right from the start, when he had long tresses to the time when he was highly criticized by the masses by burning his photos and dummy. From the time he struggled to score a run to the time he brought world cup home after 28 long years. Alongside Dhoni, his fellow batsman, Suresh Raina has announced his retirement from the international cricket. Their contribution to India's cricket and their sportsmanship will be missed dearly. Fans of MS Dhoni are having a meltdown. And ever since the for Indian Skipper announced his retirement the whole world is giving him a digital farewell. Various celebs have also joined in giving him a farewell but with heavy hearts.

Sidharth Shukla took to is Twitter handle and wrote, "There will be a lot of players & captains bt there can never b another #Dhoni..D man who always lead frm d front ..many play fr records you played to win and made records....India will miss you terribly.Thank you #MSDhoni & #Raina for your immense contribution to Team India !"

Nakuul Mehta wrote, "Saw this coming but still hard not to well up thinking about how he made your lives so much more joyful & beautiful with the way he played the game. Thank you @msdhoni."

Rashami Desai took to her Twitter handle and wrote, "Win in your mind and you win in realty... That is M. S. Dhoni. Gem of indian cricket team #MSDhoni."

Shoaib Ibrahim shared a classy poster of Dhoni and wrote, "Dhoni again finishes off in style.. Thankyou for all the memories. You will always be our captain. #MSDhoni All the best for the second innings of your life."

"You will be missed @msdhoni #MSDhoni #Dhoni," Gurmeet Choudhary wrote on his Twitter handle while sharing a picture from the 2011 world winning moment when the skipper had hit the winning shot.

Dhoni's cool sportsmanship will be missed on the field.
