Miheeka Bajaj or Prachi Tehlan, which bride’s look inspired you the most? – vote now
There was some respite for entertainment journos this weekend. We had two intimate but grand weddings in tinsel town. The big one was the marriage of Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj, which got immense coverage. Mamangam actress Prachi Tehlan also tied the knot with Rohit Saroha in New Delhi. While Rana had been going steady with Miheeka since a couple of years, it was a whirlwind romance for Prachi Tehlan and Rohit Saroha. Honestly, both the brides have left us awestruck. They looked nothing less than royal princesses. The ladies have similar looks in many ways. Both of them wore elaborate nose rings, maatha pattis and heavy necklaces. They had the Rajputana look. Let us decode the looks in greater detail
Miheeka Bajaj
The pretty young lady belongs to a family which has a couture jewellery business. Miheeka Bajaj's wedding lehenga was made by Anamika Khanna. It's believed that it took more than 10,000 hours to make her lehenga. Her makeup artiste Tamanna Rooz told The Times Of India, "Miheeka and her mother Bunty Bajaj both have a really fine and subtle taste and wanted something very elegant for the wedding. We decided to do a cream and gold lehenga with a coral head veil. The lehenga is a hand done zardosi with the finest form of chikankari and gold metalwork teamed with a woven gold dupatta." She wore jewellery from Krsala Jewels, her family firm. Tamanna had given a very earthy makeup to Miheeka highlighting her eyes and smile. She had smokey eyes with coral lips. Miheeka looked divine.
Prachi Tehlan
The Mamangam actress looked straight out of a Rajputana coffee book. The lady went the traditional route opting for a rich hue of brick red. It was teamed with jadau and polki jewellery that was royalty personified. Prachi Tehlan let the outfit and jewels do all the talking. A small bindi, light brown lips and kohled eyes finished off the look. The bridal lehenga was designed by Sahil Kocchar. He stated that they had planned a red Zari lehenga with traditional zardozi embroidery with the designer's signature 3D multi-layered floral applique embroidery on a gold base. It is a varied rendition of traditional zardozi. He said, "She wanted something in red so we suggested the work and embroidery which we thought would sit well as per her likings. Each element from thread to bead is deliberately placed and as you step back the ensemble comes to life as living art to be cherished for a lifetime. And it took 60-70 days to prepare the same."
