Prabhas to join hands with KGF director, Prashanth Neel, for an action-thriller?

KGF Chapter 1 was one of the surprising hits and it made Yash and director Prashanth Neel new favourites of the entertainment industry, especially in the South. Prashanth is gearing up for Chapter 2 which is said to release in October 2020. Meanwhile, as per the reports, the filmmaker is all set to collaborate with Prabhas who was last seen in Saaho. Yes, you read that right. Prabhas who has two more films in the pipeline is in talks with Prashanth Neel for an action thriller.

A source close to the development of the same informed Mumbai Mirror that the director is keen to work with Prabhas. They wanted to collaborate since Prashanth's debut in the industry but things didn't pan out and now the Baahubali actor has liked an idea. "Prabhas and Prashanth have wanted to collaborate since the latter's debut film, Ugramm, and have discussed several ideas in the past. However, things did not materialise then. But now, Prabhas has liked an idea and wants it to be his 22nd film. It will take off only in 2022," the sourced told the portal.

Meanwhile, this yet-untitled film revolves around underworld mafia and Prabhas's character is a quintessential hero who stands up for a common man. "He will take on a bunch of baddies. The basic plot is along the lines of Ugramm, but the treatment is more contemporary and it will be mounted on a more lavish scale," the source added.

"It is an unabashed celebration of heroism," the source adds. It is said that the film will feature the top talents of the Kannada and Telugu industries. It is being said that Jr NTR has been approached to play the don in the action-thriller.

On the work front, Prabhas has Radhe Shyam with Pooja Hegde. A portion of the film has already been shot and the next schedule is said to go on floor this month. Radhe Shyam also features Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Murali Sharma, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Sathyan to name a few. Prabhas also has a yet-untitled film with Deepika Padukone.
