Sushant Singh Rajput case: BMC releases IPS Vinay Tiwari from quarantine

IPS Vinay Tiwari, who was quarantined by BMC when he arrived in Mumbai to investigate Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, has been released from it. Though the BMC has told him to return back to Patna on 8th August. The statement issued by BMC reads, ''The Municipal commissioner of MCGM has is asking to exempt IPS officer Vinay Tiwari from home quarantine to facilitate his return to Patna to resume his duties.'' Vinay confirmed the news and told ANI, "BMC has informed me through a text message that I have been released from quarantine. I'll be leaving for Patna now."

Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey took to Twitter and wrote, ''Following the remarks of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, Bihar Police Headquarters wrote a letter to the Commissioner of BMC yesterday requesting them to release IPS officer Vinay Tiwari. He is released today and will return to Patna this evening. Thanks to BMC.''

The decision has been taken post the case of Sushant Singh Rajput has been handed over to CBI and Bihar police's request to the commissioner of BMC as Gupteshwar Pandey tweeeted in Hindi, "The Bihar Police Headquarters has written a letter to the Commissioner of BMC today, citing the remarks of the Honourable Supreme Court, requesting the release of Bihar's IPS Vinay Tiwari from quarantine and return to Bihar. We are awaiting their decision!"

Earlier a team of four members from Bihar Police arrived in Mumbai to investigate the case and returned to Patna yesterday.
