Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2: Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani's horror-comedy to resume shooting next month

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is one of the most anticipated films. The filming of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 began last year in October and would have been wrapped up and would have been ready for release by now had it not been for the pandemic. The horror-comedy starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani is directed by Anees Bazmee who is known for films like Ready, Welcome, Singh Is Kinng, Mubarakan, No Problem to name a few.

Anees Bazmee like his peers is excited to resume shooting. The filmmaker revealed that they could have shot earlier had it not been for the monsoon who destroyed their sets. The team of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 had created a haveli for the shoot which had not been in use for the last six months. Further, the monsoon destroyed the sets. "We had created a haveli in Lucknow. Now that the monsoon is over, we will have to restructure the set and polish it before we start shooting. It needs a little bit of work. I will initiate talks with my art directors on the way forward," Bazmee told Mid-Day.

Shooting amidst pandemic is a challenge that the filmmakers have to take in order to get working. Earlier, the filmmaker revealed that they were planning to resume shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in December. But after a lot of discussions, the makers have decided to work out a new schedule at soonest. "We have decided to accelerate the process and resume shoot as soon as possible; it could be next month. The producers are working out the logistics while we get the combination dates of actors," the director added.

Meanwhile, the second installment has nothing to do with the original film starring Akshay Kumar. Earlier in an interview, the director had reacted to the rumours about Akshay being a part of the film. "I think yeh thoda sa early ho jaayega mujhe yeh bolna because already hum log abhi work kar rahe hain and dekhiye kya hota hai. (I think it's too early for me to say anything about the rumour. We are still working on the script. Let's see). he said. Tabu has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film.
