From Thalapathy Vijay's Master to Rajinikanth's Annaatthe: Here are the upcoming south films, which are expected to shatter the box office

Post the humongous success of Baahubali, we have seen many south-filmmakers aiming their ventures to give a pan-India appeal by releasing in various dubbed languages. While some of them worked, some didn't but we can't deny the fact that these ventures gave a tough time to Hindi films at the box office. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, many south films released on OTT platforms but there are some films, which are in the production and post-productions stage and will only release in theatres to give us a cinematic experience. Thalapathy Vijay's Master

Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Master was slated to release in April but got delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis. The film is directed by Kaithi helmer Lokesh Kanagaraj and also stars Arjun Das and Shantanu Bhagyaraj in pivotal roles. It is bankrolled under the banners of XB Film Creators and Seven Screen Productions.

Rajinikanth's Annaathe

Annatthe, which is directed by blockbuster filmmaker Siruthai Siva, features Rajinikanth, Keerthyn Suresh, Nayanthara, Meena and Khushboo in key roles. It is scheduled to release during the festive weekend of Pongal in 2021.

Thala Ajith's Valimai

As per the latest reports, the pending shooting of Thala Ajith's Valimai will resume from mid-October. The masala entertainer is expected to be high on stunts and action sequences. It is touted to be one of the most expensive projects of the lead star. Valimai also features Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi and RX 100 actor Kartikeya Gummakonda as the lead antagonist.

Prabhas' Radhe Shyam

The first look of Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam was revealed in July on social media. The pan-India film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages. It also stars Sachin Khedekar, Murli Sharma, Bhagyashree, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Sasha Chhetri along with Sathyan and Priyadarshi in pivotal roles.

Yash's KGF 2

After the monstrous success of Yash starrer KGF, fans are excitedly waiting for the second installment, which is set to hit the screens in 2021. The shooting portions of the film are left with Sanjay Dutt, who is currently undergoing medical treatment. KGF 2 is directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films.

Dhanush's Jagame Thandhiram

Dhanush's Jagame Thandhiram is directed by Petta and Pizza helmer Karthik Subbaraj. The action thriller has gangster elements and is expected to be a treat for massy audiences.
