Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 to air it's last episode on THIS date? — here's what we know

Ekta Kapoor came up with a reboot of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 two years ago. It was one of the most anticipated TV shows as the original series was a huge hit among the masses. The hype around the TV show was much high as to who will be the new Anurag and Prerna in the new series. After much speculation, it was revealed that Parth Samnthaan and Erica Fernandes will respectively step in for Cezzane Khan and Shweta Tiwari. Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 began on a high note and fared well on the TRP charts as well.

Of late, the show has been in the news for various reasons. Firstly, after the lockdown was lifted and shootings were resumed, the lead actor, Parth was diagnosed with COVID-19. Later on, it was stated that the actor was not keen to get back on the show. Karan Patel replaced Karan Singh Grover on the show to play Mr Bajaj. After a few days, it was revealed that he would be continuing the shoot. Recently, reports of the show going off-air in October surfaced. And now, as per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the love story of Anurag and Prerna on the television will come to an end on October 3. Yes, you read that right. "Ekta made several attempts to convince Parth to stay on, but he just wouldn't budge. She thinks that replacing him might break the show's connection with the audience.

So yes, the curtains will come down on KZK on October 3," a source close to the development told Mirror.

Further, it was being said that Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 will be replacing the show but the source denied the same saying, "It will make way for a new fiction show." The decision to pull the plug on the show has been taken after much discussion, the source added. "Neither wants to play parents on screen. Also, the show wasn't getting the expected ratings. So, Ekta has finally decided to pull the plug," the source said. The original show saw, Komolika killing both Anurag and Prerna. However, the makers are planning a different ending this time. Anurag and Prerna will get a happy ending, but how it pans out is still being worked upon," the source told the portal.
