Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah completes 3000 episodes: Here's why the show can be called as the 'Modern Ramayan'
If one had to vote for the best comedy show to date, then it has to be Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. This show began in 2008, and is now the most loved comedy show. It has been doing good on the TRP charts and is loved by the audience. The show has been going on for many years, but one can never get bored of watching it. This is the longest-running show on television and fans have been loving the show since its first episode. In fact, each characters has a different fan-base. They have become household names. From Daya ben to Bawri, everyone is our favourite. The show recently completed 12 years, and they have now achieved another milestone. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has become only the second Hindi GEC to have completed 3000 episodes.
All these 3000 episodes have been the best and we feel it the show is the closest thing to a modern-day Ramayan. Many of the fans have called it as 'Modern Ramayan', so let us tell you why. Gokuldham Society is the most ideal place to live. Who doesn't want to stay in a society like this, with such good neighbours? In today's time, we rarely find such good people. It's an 'aadarsh' society for sure.
Obeying the elders
We have seen in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah how Jethalal listens to everything who his father, Champaklal, tells him to. He never wants to hurt his father and does everything that will make him happy. We have also seen how Jethalal is scared whenever he does not find Champaklal. This is exactly how Lord Ram was. Not only Jethalal, but the entire Tapu Sena is also very obedient and respectful to their elders.
Keeping Promises
'Vachan' has been the most important aspect in Ramayan. Once a promise is made, it has to be fulfilled, and the same applies to Gokuldham society's members. They always keep their promises. Be it any situation, Jethalal and his society members always stand by their word. Remember when Tapu decided to shave off his hair because he had promised his friend who was battling cancer? Tapu convinced his parents and fulfilled his promise.
Loving everyone
All our epics, be it Ramayan or Mahabharat, have taught us to love everyone. Jethalal, Champaklal, Daya ben, Tapu, Bhide, Popatlal, Iyer, Sodhi, Sonu, Gogi, Bagha, Bawri, all have given one message, and that is to love everyone. Be it your enemy or friend, love can overcome everything. We have always seen in Taarak Mehta that every enemy is given a chance, and Gokuldham has always tried to make their enemies first understand before teaching them a lesson if they don't.
Patriotism
Love for one's motherland is something we have been learning since ages and Gokuldham society always strives to make this country a better place. Gokuldham members have been to foreign countries, and they have proudly shown the love for their motherland there, too. In Ramayan, too, we have seen how the King is dedicated to his kingdom and people.
Friendship
Everyone knows how Lord Ram helped Sugriva in getting his Kingdom back and in return, Surgiva did not think once before leaving for Lanka with Lord Ram to find Goddess Sita. Surgiva and Ram's friendship helped them win the battle against Ravana. Gokuldham society is a perfect example of modern friendship. Who does not want friends like Tapu, Sonu, Goli, Gogi and Pinku? Tapu Sena is #FriendshipGoals. They can do anything for each other. Remember the episode when Pinku was leaving for Canada and Tapu Sena rushed to the airport to get their friend back? That was such an emotional scene. Even when Jethalal was trapped in Pakistan, all his friends made every effort to get him back to India.
Well, there are so many examples that clearly tell us why Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is today's Ramayan. Do you guys agree with us?
