Bigil Box Office Collection day 2 early estimates: Thalapathy Vijay's film crosses Rs 100 crore mark at the global market

Thalaptahy Vijay's Bigil has blockbuster written all over it. The film, which opened in cinemas on October 25, got a thunderous start at the box office. On the very first day of its release, the film earned about Rs 40 crore in India. A major portion of the collection came from Tamil Nadu, where Bigil minted Rs 26 crore net. Now, if the early estimates are to be believed, superstar Vijay's film has continued its splendid run at the box office. The movie has approximately collected Rs 20 crore (gross) in Tamil Nad and Rs 1.73 crore in Chennai. As far as the overseas box office is concerned, the movie is said to have earned Rs 16 crore. Reports suggest that the film has already entered the coveted club of Rs 100 crore at the global box office, in just two days.

In a 3.5 star review of Bigil, our critic was all praises for Thalapathy Vijay. A part of the review read, "Vijay, Vijay, and Vijay both the star and actor are on fire here, reminiscent of some of the most delightful Diwali crackers. If on one hand, his swag, energy, action, mannerisms, delivery of punchlines, and overall body language are impossible to not gush over, then on the other end, his performance would be a proud fit in any serious, dramatic movie. His emotional scenes leave a lump in your throat and his intensity during the confrontational sequences is pure gold. Reuniting with Atlee does make a difference though as there doesn't seem to be a Director at the moment who can straddle Vijay's mass-and-class appeal better, not even A.R. Murugadoss."

Vijay's Bigil clashed with Lokesh Kanagaraj's Kaithi, Akshay Kumar's Housefull 4, Taapsee Pannu- Bhumi Pednekar's Saand Ki Aankh and Rajkummar Rao- Mouni Roy's Made In China on October 25.
