Housefull 4 box office collection day 7 early estimates: Akshay Kumar starrer speedily inching toward the 150-crore mark

Housefull 4 starring Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol, Kriti Kharbanda, Riteish Deshmukh, and Pooja Hegde has turned out to be a money-spinner at the box office. Despite mixed responses and too much of negativity, the reincarnation comedy has managed to score big. In just five days, Housefull 4 entered the coveted club of Rs. 100 crore. And two days later, the film continues to enjoy its winning streak.

As per the early estimates of Housefull 4, mentioned by Box Office India, the Farhad Samji directorial collected approximately Rs. 13.50 crore at the ticket windows. Taking that amount into account, the total box office collection of the fourth installment of Housefull now stands at Rs. 141.67 crore.

On its fifth day at the box office, Housefull 4 had taken a lead over Thalapathy Vijay masala-sports drama, Bigil, to grab the top spot as the Diwali release of 2019. Housefull 4 had earned Rs. 112 crore nett in its first 5 days at ticket windows.

Thanking the ones who lent their unconditional support to Housefull 4, Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter handle and wrote, "Thank you for loving us and laughing with us. It is because of your love we are where we are today. Thanks to all my fans and audiences who have poured unconditional love on #HouseFull4. Thank you for showing us that nothing beats hate more than love."

Meanwhile, our critic gave 2 stars to Housefull 4 and wrote, "There are many homophobic scenes which are disgusting, to say the least. In one of the scenes, Akshay Kumar says 'Isne gender ka tender nahin bhara' while referring to Riteish Deshmukh's character. It's high time our films stop homophobia in the garb of 'entertainment' and 'humour'. The makers of the film should also be taught the meaning of consent. You have scene in which Akshay Kumar's character forcibly kisses a woman. The graph of the film falls considerably in the second half what with many redundant scenes and sequences. Most of the intended humour falls flat."
