Bigil becomes Thalapathy Vijay's fourth film to achieve THIS feat at the Chennai box office
Vijay is known for entertaining the audience in his trademark style. Thalapathy-Vijay-starrer released on the 25th of October and continues to dominate at the South as well as overseas Box Office. Directed by Atlee, Bigil is being considered a sleeper hit thanks to Thapalathy Vijay and his fandoms. Recently it crossed the Rs 100 crore club in just 7 days of its release. The sports drama has now entered a prestigious Rs 10 crore club in the city of Chennai itself. Despite Kaithi, starring Karthi, releasing at the same time, Bigil continues to rule at the box office.
This is the fourth Thalapathy Vijay starrer to enter the club after hits like Theri, Mersal, and Sarkar. Bigil also stars Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Induja Ravichandran, Reba Monica John, Varsha Bollamma and Amritha Aiyer in key roles. The sports drama has already crossed Rs 200 at the worldwide box office. The movie saw a relatively small dip during the weekdays but it bounced back on the weekends.

Bigil is Thalapthy Vijay 4th consecutive film to make the record at the Chennai box office. It made the business of around Rs 10.07 crore on its 9th day. It's a hat-trick for Vijay.
Coming back to the films, Bigil is the third collaboration between director Atlee and Vijay after Theri and Mersal. It happens to be actress Nayanthara's third collaboration with Vijay as well. She has previously worked with Vijay in films like Sivakasi and Villu. Bigil is made on a big budget of Rs 180 crore. The sports drama is the second most expensive Tamil film after Akshay Kumar-Rajinikanth's 2.0. The film clashed with Karthi's Kaithi at the box office but showed its dominance across the country.
