Filmy Friday: Pagalpanti has the potential to become a HIT as John Abraham enjoys a high success ratio in comedy films

After Akshay Kumar, John Abraham has become the next actor to become the flagbearer of patriotic films with Parmanu, Satyameva Jayate, Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW) and the recently released Batla House. While he is known for doing kickass actioners, it will surprise you to know that comedies have generally been good money-spinners for the 46-year-old star as he enjoys an above 70% success ratio in the genre. Films like Housefull 2, Welcome Back, Dostana, Taxi No. 9211 and Garam Masala have all made decent to huge profits at the ticket windows, and looking at the elements in them coupled with the fact that Welcome Back was also directed by Anees Bazmee, who's behind Pagalpanti, we can say that John's release this Friday has the potential to become another commercial success. The slapstick comedy will definitely attract fans and admirers of the actor during the first two days or so, and we expect it to take a solid opening.

As mentioned before, Pagalpanti is directed by Aneez Bazmee, who is known for delivering big hits in the comedy genre with No Entry, Welcome, Singh Is Kinng and Ready. Known for making laugh riots, the Director recently said, "I want my films to make people laugh and be happy. Life is short. In your old age, when you look back, you will mostly remember the happy moments. Today, people are under a lot of stress, be it in their career, source of income, taking care of kids' education or weddings. There are so many reasons to worry that people are gradually forgetting to smile. I want to give people a few moments of laughter through my films. I was in a happy space of mind while writing the film. I believe, whenever a person is in a sad mood, my film should lift their spirit."
