Lady superstar Nayanthara turns a year older today. The extremely talented lady has won awards for her performances in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam cinema. Nayanthara started off as a model but soon got a film with director, Sathyan Anthikkad who offered her the project, Manassinakkare (2003). The audiences and critics accepted her whole-heartedly and Indian cinema got an actress who had the talent, charisma and star power to rival any male actor. Nayanthara has done maximum films in Tamil cinema who people call her Thalaivi. Some of her notable works are Ayya (2005), Chandramukhi, Ghajini, Kuselan to name a few.
In 2010, she achieved a rare feat, she became an actress who had five blockbusters in the four South Indian languages. With power-packed performances in films like Arram, Iru Mugan, Krishnam Vande Jagadguru, etc, she has proved that she is up there with the best in Indian cinema.
