Kaun Banega Crorepati 11: Taapsee Pannu has a contribution in Hrithik-Tiger's War's success - here's how

Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War turned out to be the biggest hit of the year. Apart from raking in over Rs 300 crore at the domestic market, the action-thriller also garnered favourable reviews from the critics. Actress Taapsee Pannu recently came on Amitabh Bachchan's quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati 11's special episode to support social worker Karamveer Samanta from Odisha. In the episode, the audio clip of Ghungroo was played and they were asked to guess the film.

As soon as the lyrics of the song reached Taapsee's ears she shouted with joy and said War. Amitabh Bachchan, who was quite surprised by Taapsee's spontaneity said how it turned out to be a blockbuster and earned insane to which Taapsee said that even she has contributed in War. When Big B asked how? she replied, "Maine ticket kharidke theatre mein jaake picture dekhi na sir." (I bought tickets and watched the movie in the theatre sir.)

Meanwhile, the actress will be next seen in Anubhav Sinha's Thappad. Talking about the film, she recently said, "It's a woman's perspective on relationships, what they want, with a common thread linking them." While one of the stories would be fronted by Taapsee the rest of the star cast includes Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak Shah, Tanvi Azmi, Geetika Vidya, Maya Sarao, Naila Grewal and Gracy Goswami. That's not all, there are a few other supporting characters as well. The filmmaker recalls the day when there were 15 actors on the sets while filming.

A source close to the development told Mumbai Mirror, that the subject deals with violence in relationships but not in a gruesome way. It touches on aspects that are taken for granted in a man-woman relationship. "It's a tragedy that we label women. We conveniently put them on a pedestal, then, use them. My film is not pro-feminists, it is about women. Period." The director confirmed.
