Commando 3: ‘Success makes me feel very good and very proud,’ says Vidyut Jammwal — watch EXCLUSIVE video
It's been two weeks since Vidyut Jammwal's Commando 3 released in theatres. The movie which essentially features Vidyut in the lead is the third film in the successful franchise of Commando. The third part is getting decent footfalls in the theatres and has already beaten the previous two installments' collections from the franchise. BollywoodLife got in touch with Vidyut and Gulshan Devaiah who plays Buraq Ansari in the film to ask how they feel that the movie is a success. Vidyut the frontrunner said, "Both the films, Commando 1 and Commando 2 had been rated #1 on television. When we had started the first part, we weren't really sure, how people would respond. But we were sure that we would make the subsequent parts. There will be like the idea of a man defending the nation. So, success makes me feel very good and very proud."

Sometimes, movies like Romeo Akbar Walter, or Commando 3, for that matter, or film that deal with national security and the religion, they tend to be under scrutiny. When asked how they maintained a balance of creating an entertaining film and not hurting sentiments, Vidyut said, "The thing is, the idea is not to hurt somebody's feelings but the idea was to make a movie which unites the nation. So, when you have a motive like that, you aren't really stressed about most of the things. So, like I said, it was a positive idea about the fact that A Hindu and Muslim do live together in harmony. So we portrayed that and I wasn't really scared about it."
While talking about their future projects post Commando 3, Gulshan joked saying, "He (Vidyut) will do Hunterr 2" while the latter said, "And he will do Commando 4." Gulshan joked saying, "Yes, I will write and direct Commando 4."
In her review, our critic, Urmimala Bannerjee wrote, "Vidyut Jammwal powers the film with his screen presence and action chops. He kicks, punches and flips with exquisite grace. The actor has a good screen presence and his entry is like a typical Bollywood hero. The two heroines, Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar come into their own during the climax and are terrific in the fight scenes. It is fun to see a film where women get to kick butt as much as the men. Mark Hamilton's cinematography is good and the background music pumps up the action quotient. The stunt choreography in a corridor during the climax stands out."
