BL Predicts: Street Dancer to take a good opening, Panga will depend on word of mouth

The first month of 2020 started on a good note as Ajay Devgn's Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is currently enjoying a phenomenal run at the box office. This Friday, Bollywood has two offerings for us in the form of Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Street Dancer 3D and Kangana Ranaut's Panga.

To start with Street Dancer 3D, choreographer-turned-director Remo D'Souza has entered his forte and it looks like once again he has put all the ingredients in the film, which can make it a commercial entertainer. The trailer and songs have worked big time for the film and since both the lead stars, Varun and Shraddha, enjoy a great fanbase in the country, we can expect this dance film to open with good numbers. As per our prediction, Street Dancer 3D has a great chance to earn between Rs 18 to Rs 20 crore on its opening day. The film will also be released in 3D format and we are sure that all dance lovers, will flock into the theatres to watch the visual spectacle in this version. Produced under the banners of T-Series and Remo D'Souza Entertainment, the film also features Nora Fatehi, Prabhudheva, Raghav Juyal, Dharmesh Yelande, Aparshakti Khurana, Salman Yusuff Khan and Punit Pathak in key roles.

Coming to Panga, the film showcases the journey of a Kabaddi player essayed by Kangana Ranaut, who wants to make a comeback in the game at the age of 32. Well, these kinds of stories have been narrated before in Bollywood, though we are just interested to see how talented filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari will give different treatment to Panga. The promos and songs have just garnered an average response and as per our prediction, the sports drama should open between the range of Rs 2.50 crore to Rs 3 crore. The word of mouth will play a key role for this film as it will have a limited release in its first week. Also starring Neena Gupta, Richa Chadha and Jassi Gill, the film is bankrolled under the banner of Fox Star Studios.
