#WTFWednesday: Here's why contestants' relatives playing their own 'Bigg Boss' game is now giving us a headache
Bigg Boss 13 has one of the most interesting and volatile seasons of all time. We have hot heads like Sidharth Shukla and Asim Riaz in the house whose tempers fly at the touch of a button. Then, we have pure gamers like Paras Chhabra, Arti Singh and Vishal Aditya Singh who react on selective situations. The manipulation, instigation and backbiting are at an all-time high. People are in shock seeing their favourite celebs behave in such a manner. The battles inside are not the only ones that are being spoken about. This time, the family members of celebrities have also not spared any opportunity to lambast rivals inside the house. There is only one exception, which is Sidharth Shukla's family. They have totally stayed away from this scenario. We have family members of almost every other contestant slam rivals with scores of interviews and opinions on social media.
Okay, it is not that we do not understand. Your loved one is away from you, locked up in an environment that constantly tests their patience, stress levels and interpersonal relationships. Bigg Boss is mentally and physically exhausting. However, the point is you guys are only watching what the rest of India is watching. It is not like relatives have access to extra footage that lets them paint other housemates in a certain colour. It is your loved one who is playing best and it's only he/she who knows what exactly is happening.
It is not like people fight 24x7 inside the Bigg Boss house. We all know it is a highly edited show, as said by former contestant, Hina Khan. The level of potshots and digs taken at competitors by some family members is absolutely disgusting. From commenting on their personal lives to taking below the belt potshots, it is now getting irritating to another level. Who can forget Mahira Sharma's comment on how we are now just waiting for Rashami Desai - Sidharth Shukla's bedroom stories to be leaked out. Vindu Dara Singh who went as a guest apparently said disparaging stuff to Asim Riaz. Pray, what is the need to do so when you're there for a few minutes. And the amount of expertise with which they degrade others is shocking. With only four weeks left, we hope that relatives also tone down a bit. What say?
