Gul Makai trailer: Reem Shaikh steps into the shoes of the brave Malala Yousafzai to tell her tale

The makers of Gul Makai have dropped the trailer of their film. Produced by Sanjay Singhla, Preeti Vijay Jaju, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada and Aksshay Jayantilal Gada, the film narrates the story of Nobel Peace Prize winner, Malala Yousafzai. In just two and a half minutes, the director, H.E. Amjad Khan paints the grueling backdrop that forms the base of the story. Reem Sameer Shaikh who is currently seen in Tujhse Hai Raabta, plays the lead role in Gul Makai. Atul Kulkarni and Divya Dutta play the role of Malala's parents, Ziauddin Yousafzai and Toor Pekai Yousafzai, respectively.

How the young innocent girl goes on to become the torch-bearer for peace in the world, is what Gul Makai is all about. Gul Makai is a blogging site which Malala had started to raise her voice against Talibani oppression in the Swat Valley, Pakistan. Gul Makai releases on 31st January 2020.

BL Verdict: It's gripping to the core, and a must-watch for sure. Malala's story is not known, but this could reach the masses in the rural and the yet-unawares.
