Love Aaj Kal's Arushi Sharma on working with Kartik Aaryan: It was like meeting an old buddy
Bollywood News: Imtiaz Ali is to introduce a new face in his film, Love Aaj Kal. Incidentally, Arushi Sharma has worked with Imtiaz Ali in his 2015-film Tamasha. Arushi Sharma will be seen as a leading lady in the 1990s portion of the film. However, did you know acting was not the career she had desired at first? Yes, you read that right. It's Arushi Sharma who would be seen opposite Kartik Aaryan in the film.
"I am from Himachal Pradesh, which doesn't have an active theatre scene," Arushi revealed that Imtiaz Ali has visited her college in Shimla for the recce of his film, Tamasha. The actress-in-making went on to add that she had to unlearn a few things and learn new things for the film. To prepare for her role and understand the love from that era, Arushi revealed that she watched Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Maine Pyar Kiya.
When asked how it was working with Kartik Aaryan, she said, "Even he is an engineer, it was like meeting an old buddy. He is an actor who is always trying to improve his craft and a good co-star who elevated my performance, too. He can stay focused even in chaos, I can't." Though she didn't have any scenes with Sara in the film, she revealed that they shot for a song together. "She has a lot of energy, is involved in every aspect of filmmaking," Arushi said on matching steps with Sara Ali Khan.
When asked about her dream co-star, she revealed that she has been stalking many young guns of Bollywood for a while. "I would love to work with Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana. Alia Bhatt, too, is a favourite," she signed off.
