Salman Khan and Kabir Khan planning a reunion soon? Here's what we know
Salman Khan and Kabir Khan have given some really good hits together. It wouldn't be wrong to say that they are one of the hit actor-director jodis of recent times. Until now, they have collaborated on films like Ek Tha Tiger, Bajarangi Bhaijaan and Tubelight. 2012's Ek Tha Tiger was a huge hit which featured Katrina and Salman in the lead roles. Salman and Kabir's Bajarangi Bhaijaan which featured Kareena Kapoor Khan in the key role, went on to win the National Award for providing wholesome entertainment in 2015. Reports of Kabir and Salman had a major fallout broke out when Tubelight released and did not fare well compared to the expectations. Undeterred by the rumours, Kabir and Salman maintained a cordial relationship. Now, they are planning to collaborate yet again for a project.
A source close to the development told Mumbai Mirror that the two have been meeting a lot in the past few months. The source informs the daily saying, "Kabir has narrated some ideas to Salman, which the latter is excited about, but he is waiting for the final narration," The source further added that the director will start scripting his next only after the release of his upcoming sports-drama '83 which stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. The filmmaker has several ideas in his mind. Right from an action-thriller to a social drama about an Indian zoo-keeper, who travels to China to bring back a Panda and save his zoo. "There would be absolute clarity around Kabir and Salman's film by June, once there is some movement to translate the discussed idea into a screenplay."
Meanwhile, Salman Khan was recently seen in Dabangg 3 which also starred Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Saiee Manjrekar, Kiccha Sudeep to name a few. The Prabhudheva directorial crossed Rs 200 crores gross worldwide. Salman will be next seen in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Man for which he will collaborate with Prabhudheva again. Radhe also features Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff to name a few. It is scheduled to release on Eid-ul-Fitr this year. But that's not all. Apparently, Salman is hearing scripts and having done action films back to back, now the actor wants to take up some different genre. As per the report in Mirror, Salman has been meeting Rohit Shetty, Farah Khan, Farhan Akhtar and even Siddharth Roy Kapur.
