'83: ‘Ranveer Singh used to keep practicing in the stadium even when he wasn’t shooting,’ reveals Aditi Arya [Exclusive]

A renowned model turned actress, Aditi Arya, who worked in films like ISM, Seven, Kurukshetra and Nenu Polenule, is currently gearing up for the release of '83. The actress has a crucial part to play in the Kabir Khan directorial, which is based on the Indian Cricket Team's 1983 World Cup Win. We will see Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev and Deepika Padukone as his wife, Romi Dev, in the film. Talking about Aditi, she plays Inderjit Amaranth (wife of Mohinder Amarnath) in '83. Shedding more light on her character, Aditi told us, "I'm playing Inderjit Amarnath in the film, she is Mohinder Amarnath's wife. She has been crucial to Mohinder Amarnath's journey and my character acknowledges that."

Ask her about her working experience with Ranveer Singh, Aditi heaps praise for him and adds, "It was incredible watching Ranveer Singh transform into Kapil Dev on set. Not only on days he had his shot, even on the days he didn't. He would still be practicing in the stadium while others will be shooting their scene. One could see all the effort he has been putting in the character, how he just evolves into it on and off-screen. He carries a bit of his character that he's playing with him partially anyway. His incredibly crazy-fun vibe was something to really admire."

Although she got to see more of the reel-life Kapil Dev, she, unfortunately, couldn't meet the real-life one. Expressing her sadness over the same, she said, "No, I didn't. I wish I did. His daughter is one of the ADs on set. She kept sharing a lot of stories about the World Cup and Kapil Dev. I got to experience the whole anecdote through her vision."

Before signing off, Aditi mentioned that her character is extremely crucial to the film. "Inderjit is a crucial part of Mohinder Amarnath's life as she is his strength in his World Cup Journey," she said.
