Atrangi Re: Akshay Kumar and Dhanush will romance Sara Ali Khan in different eras?

Bollywood News: Aanand L Rai's next featuring, Akshay Kumar, Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan, is going to be extra special. The filmmaker's upcoming directorial, Atrangi Re, is set in Bihar about funny and weird characters played by Akshay, Dhanush and Sara. The actress' character belongs from Bihar and she will be romancing Dhanush, whose character belongs from the South. What about Akshay Kumar's part? Aanand has termed it as 'very special character who is important to the narrative.' However, the new development and the extra special factor of Atrangi Re is that both Akshay and Dhanush will be romancing Sara. There won't be a love triangle as they will be romancing her in different eras.

"While Atrangi Re is primarily a love story set in the heartland, laced with humour, the storytelling is in a zone the filmmaker has not attempted before. The screenplay follows a non-linear narrative of two romances from different timelines running in the parallel," a source informed Mumbai Mirror. Atrangi Re goes on floors in Bihar next month. This will be followed by another schedule in Madhurai. The film is about how love is perceived in North and South.

The source further added, "It's a double role of sorts for Sara, the idea is to showcase diverse sides of the actress. Akshay and Dhanush's characters too have a special trait that separates them from rest of the cast. Their appearances will be in sync with the way they act and react while a special look is being designed for Akshay."

Akshay Kumar will join Sara and Dhanush in mid-April. The film will be wrapped in 80-90 days and it will come to an end by July. As far as the release in concerned, it is headed for Valentine's Day, 2021 release. Unfortunately, Sara Ali Khan's Valentine's Day, 2020 release, Love Aaj Kal, doomed at the box office. However, we hope Atrangi Re works well at the box office.
