Bheeshma box office collection day 1: Nithiin and Rashmika Mandanna starrer takes a good opening

Bheeshma featuring Nithiin and Rashmika Mandanna has taken a good start at the box office. Despite facing stiff competition from Ayushmann Khurrana's Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and Vicky Kaushal's Bhoot: The Haunted Ship, it has fared well. Bheeshma had earned Rs. 9.4 crore (gross) and the distributor's share is Rs. 6.31 crore. Since the landing costs are in the medium-budget range, and because Bheeshma has been sold at a reasonable price, the opening bodes well in the long run if the film can show strongholds in the coming days.

Rashmika Mandanna has had a great stint down South. However, the actress never thought that she would survive in the industry after Kirik Party. In an exclusive interview with us, she had mentioned, "When Kirik Party released, I thought I would do this one film and get out of the industry. It's not like I have a place in the industry. When the film released, people accepted me with so much love and it started worrying me that I need to do more films and need to do better. I didn't really act in that film. I don't know how to act."

On being asked about her big Bollywood debut, she had said, "Right now, I want to experiment and see how Bollywood works. I am a curious cat. I need to know everything and I am a very ambitious person. And for me, language doesn't matter. I didn't know how to speak Tamil or Telugu, but now I know."

As far as her Karnataka crush tag is concerned, she had stated, "Karnataka crush happened (when Kirik Party released) and I was like, 'Okay I need to do more films, tell more stories."
