Bigg Boss 13: Rashami Desai supports Mahira Sharma in the Dadasaheb Phalke International Award fiasco, says,'She’s not at fault'

Bigg Boss 13 is over but the contestants are still in the limelight. Mahira Sharma has become the talk of the town with her Dadasaheb Phalke International Awards fiasco. The actress recently won the 'Most Fashionable Bigg Boss 13 contestant' award at the Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Festival 2020 and flaunted her certificate on social media. Hell broke loose as the managers posted on social media that the certificate flaunted by her was a fake one. They demanded an apology stating it was very defamatory for them. They slammed her for flaunting the win and told her to remove all articles from news portals.Mahira Sharma then said that she was invited to the event by a firm and said that she has not done anything like this. Mahira added that she was approached by Premal Mehta from the Purple Fox Media, who claimed to be associated with the award show for the last two years.

She also said that Mr. Premal Mehta had informed her manager that she will be gratified with the title of Most Fashionable Bigg Boss 13 Contestant. She also said that it was informed to her that she was not called on stage as there was rush on stage and hence she was handed the award separately. After that the committee put forth a long post on social media with a caption, "Ms. Mahira, We hereby present the required facts on the matter. We further await for your apology as we dont want to drag this further and close it on a good note!" In reply, Premal Mehta has put up a note where he has said that certificates were directly printed even in previous years without prior approval of committee members and handed over to celebs. Now, Rashami Desai who was with her during the award function has come up in support of her. She in an interview with Koimoi said, "No, it was not Mahira's fault completely. They invited all of us and told us something, whereas something else happened there. So, it was the organisers who should take care of all the mismanagement and disorganized stuff. It is a very big category, Dadasaheb Phalke Awards itself is a very big thing, but then when you invite people you shouldn't take them lightly." She was also asked if it was Mahira's fault too.

 

 

Rashami Desai said, "It is Mahira who got involved in it, because right now the phase is going on and people took advantage of it, and I really didn't like it." She was also asked if she thinks Mahira should apologise. She saud, "I spoke to her, and why will she apologize? She's not at fault. They gave her the frame.. she posted it on a good note and then, whatever problems are coming are not because of her but whatever the people are involved in it."
