Coronavirus pandemic: Emraan Hashmi speaks about a quiet birthday celebration, says 'I hope it’s the only one I am spending under quarantine'

Emraan Hashmi celebrated his 41st birthday on Tuesday. The actor revealed that it was the first time he spent his birthday at home and during such a situation. Well, nobody really expected this to happen but it has become a necessity to stay at home and break the chain of fast-spreading and deadly coronavirus. The actor opened up on his birthday with Mumbai Mirror and said, "It's a strange time we are living in right now. This is a birthday I will never forget, and I hope it's the only one I am spending under quarantine."

Emraan Hashmi who was gearing up for Anand Pandit's Chehre also opened up on the lockdown situation exclaiming that its frustrating but is necessary for a better future. "None of us were prepared for this, but I think it's the new normal, which we are all getting used to. Yes, it's frustrating being locked up, but it's for the greater good," the Murder actor said.

Emraan opened up on his birthday celebration saying that he spent his day reading, watching a film. The actor further went on to gush about how his wife Parveen baked a cake while his son Ayaan helped her. The little lad even made a card for his daddy dearest. "Ordering from outside is out of the question at this point," the actor went on to add further saying, "We spoke to a few friends, video calling some others who live in the UK and the US to check up on them."

Emraan also revealed that for his son, online classes have been organised and he feels the education of any child must not be hampered during such times. 'Kids can't miss out on school, so online courses have been organised. Nothing can replace school time, but we don't know when all this will end and education must continue. They can't even go out and play right now, so at least this is keeping them busy," he added.

"The pandemic is sad, however, being locked up in our homes, we have rediscovered family time. Our busy schedules don't allow it under usual circumstances, so it's nice to be home for a change," he signed off.
