Coronavirus pademic: Ram Gopal Varma gets blasted by irate netizens after he jokes about testing positive for COVID-19 on April Fool's Day

Ram Gopal Varma knows how to create news on Twitter. On April Fool's Day, he put up a tweet saying that he has tested positive for COVID-19. He wrote, "My doctor just told me I tested positive for Corona." A hour late, he said that he was fine and his doctor has pranked him. Obviously, the joke did not go down well with social media. People took to Twitter to slam him for being stupid, insensitive and irresponsible at a time when we are battling a crisis. Ram Gopal Varma apologized later saying the joke was on him but people are nevertheless furious.
