Coronavirus pandemic: Hrithik Roshan extends support to CINTAA to help daily earners; donates Rs. 25 lakh

After Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan has left us amazed with generosity. The actor, who is fondly called as the Greek God of Bollywood, has once again lent a helping hand. Earlier, the Krrish actor had provided 1.2 lakh meals to the underprivileged across the nation by joining forces with various organizations. And now, he has extended his support to Cine and TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) to help the daily wage workers. Hrithik has made a donation of whopping Rs. 25 lakh to help the ones in need and we applaud his good deed.

A senior official from CINTAA confirmed this development to Mid-Day. Amit Behl, senior joint secretary and chairperson, (outreach committee, CINTAA), told the leading tabloid: "A few days ago, KWAN, the talent management company that handles Hrithik, asked for our account details and promptly transferred R25 lakh to our sister concern, Cine Artiste Welfare Trust (CAWT). We will start distributing the money among the daily wagers, with those living hand-to-mouth being our top priority."

He also revealed that Mission Mangal actress Vidya Balan has supported them through the Producers' Guild. "She (Vidya Balan) has done her bit through the (Producers')Guild and was happy to help us. She will also share a video (urging others) to help those in need," he added. It is good to know that our Bollywood celebrities are doing the best they can to help the daily wage earners and COVID-19 patients.

For the uninformed, Akshay Kumar has donated Rs. 25 crore to the PM Cares Fund whereas Salman Khan has pledged to provide meals to 25,000 daily wage workers and he has also extended his support to 50 female ground workers from Malegaon. On the other hand, SRK recently provided 25,000 PPE kits to the frontline medical staff and doctors. Apart from that, he has made huge donations through his various companies.
