Coronavirus pandemic: Shriya Saran, stranded in Spain; talks about husband Andrei Koscheev showing COVID-19 symptoms

Drishyam actress Shriya Saran seems to be in deep trouble as the actress is currently residing with her husband Andrei Koscheev in Spain, which is one of the biggest coronavirus hotspots of the world. The European nation has recorded about third-highest coronavirus cases and the situation is just getting uglier over there. In testing times like this, Shriya and her husband have witnessed how things have drastically changed in a few weeks. And the sad part is that the actress's better half received no help from the doctors when they reached the hospital for medical aid as Andrei was showing a few coronavirus symptoms.

In an interview with Times Of India, Shriya Saran revealed, "We rushed to a hospital but the doctors were overwhelmed and urged us to leave. Chances are that even if he doesn't have COVID-19, he will get it if he stays here, the doctors told us. So, we decided to go home and self-isolate ourselves and get treatment at home."

As of now, Shriya and Andrei are in self-isolation and they are staying in different rooms in the same house. And while the doctors refused to help Shriya's husband, he himself took proper medication at home and has completely recovered now. Meanwhile, the actress is missing her parents, who are presently in Mumbai. She is keeping in touch with her parents over a video call, however, Shriya wants to return soon.

"My mum has shared some of her recipes and I've learnt to make them. But now I'm running out of spices and garam masala, so I'm worried that I won't be able to eat desi food soon," she said.

Before signing off, Shriya revealed that thousands have lost their jobs and a lot of people are stranded in hotels, away from their loved ones and at the same time, many people don't have a roof over their heads.

It is indeed a sad situation, however, together we shall overcome it.
