Meghna Naidu revisits the experience of working with Nandamuri Balakrishna, says, 'He made us listen to old Telugu songs' [Exclusive]

It has been years but no one has forgotten the oomph that Meghna Naidu brought on screen when she did that sexy dance on Kaliyon Ka Chaman. The song made her an unforgettable name in the industry. Meghna is currently in Dubai with her husband, Luis Miguel Reis. In an EXCLUSIVE chat with BollywoodLife, Meghna Naidu said, "It has been a testing time for everyone. I have spent exactly a month in lockdown in Dubai. I love being outdoors and now you cannot do anything of that sort. Living in Dubai, I am used to doing household chores on my own. I am learning many new recipes."

She says her husband has turned vegan and she is experimenting with new dishes. Meghna Naidu reveals Luis is very stressed as his parents are living in Portugal, Europe. "He is very worried. His parents are 82 and they have to manage everything on their own. From the cooking to driving, etc. However, the government is quite good and has lots of services for them. We were supposed to go there but that did not happen," says Meghna.

She also reveals details about her love story. "We had met each other for the first time 22 years ago. My dad introduced us on a tennis court. But then, we lost touch. There was no internet. Then, we connected again through Facebook and that is how our love story began," she says. Meghna Naidu says her husband, Luis has become very desi and the cross-cultural relationship is very interesting. "I have learnt the importance of being independent in life, like when it comes to doing your work while he has learnt to bond. As an European, he was not very expressive. Now, he has become very open and I tell him to tone it down," she says.

She reveals that her husband is keeping fit by doing workout at home like skipping, spot jogging, weight training and yoga. Meghna Naidu also revisited the time when she did the film, Pandurangadu with Nandamuri Balakrishna. She tells us, "Balakrishna Sir is very mature and older than me. He is a very respected artiste. I was worried how he is going to be on shoot but he made everyone feel so comfortable. Balakrishna Sir made us listen to old Telugu songs. He is a huge star but he never makes any demands. We felt odd asking for something."
