Rasika Dugal on lockdown: Mukul and I are discovering things about each other despite being married since a long time [Exclusive]

The lockdown is making us learn and unlearn a lot of things. Mirzapur actress, Rasika Duggal, is learning things not just about herself but also about hubby Mukul Chadda, whom she married in 2010. In an exclusive chat with us, she spoke about how what's keeping her busy and many other things.

Watch Rasika's exclusive interview below:

Talking about the household chores, she said, "Mukul is doing all the dishes and the laundry. That's his department. I'm doing all the cleaning the dusting and the jhaadu pocha. That's my department. We decided to do like this because of our skillset. I'm a more skilled cleaner than him. Much to his irritation sometimes, I'm very particular about the way things are cleaned. So I'd rather do it myself."

She added, "We are learning that we have to negotiate our way around the kitchen. We are knowing that everybody has a way or doing a certain thing. I quickly get into instruction mode. I've learnt that I have to step back and stop being the control freak that I tend to be sometimes. Mukul has also understood that he can't have the whole kitchen to himself. So these are the things we are learning about each other. It's funny because we have been married for fairly long and we've never had this kind of time with each other. Mukul and I are discovering and rediscovering things about each other."

Rasika went on to reveal an interesting bit about Mukul's culinary skills. "Mukul is making some great dosas, which I'm very impressed by. He grew up in Chennai. I think dosa was a part of his upbringing subconsciously. I'm very happy to sit back and eat them. I always knew that I have a flair for cooking. But in this time, I've discovered my flair for plating. We've been doing this cooking classes with my friends in Goa. Daybook regularly we have been trying to do one dish meals because you also don't want to be extravagant in times like this when you know that resources are limited and you know that you have a lot of housework. So the one dish meal is the answer to all of this. You just cook one dish which is great and the meal is done. Dishes like pav bhaaji or keema pav or rajma chawal or sambar rice or egg curry rice. So we are doing this online classes with a bunch of friends which is great fun. All of us are cooking together and everybody is asking stupid questions together. In the first week, I got very excited and would plate everything nicely."

Well, this lockdown isn't that bad after all, right? It's making you learn so many things.
