Esha Gupta opens up on her exit from Hera Pheri 3 [Exclusive]

BollywoodLife recently got in touch for an Insta live chat with the fun-loving, lively, gorgeous and talented Esha Gupta to discuss her life during lockdown, career this far and what lies ahead. True to form, the actress never shied away from whatever we quizzed her with, answering each query of ours, laced with a combination of candour and charm. Be it her debut web series, RejctX (she's entered from season 2), analogies drawn between her features and that of Angelina Jolie, dealing with the low phase in her career, having no regrets over Humshakals, or not doing Hera Pheri 3 Esha Gupta did not flinch from tackling every question that came her way in this tell-all exclusive interview.

Earlier in our interview, Esha Gupta had mentioned that she was supposed to do a film, which got stalled because of lockdown (like almost all film shoots across the globe have been). Inquiring whether that film was Hera Pheri by any chance, the actress replied, "No, it was Tipsy. I'm not a part of Hera Pheri 3 anymore."

Opening up about initially being a part of Hera Pheri 3 a film that has been in development for the longest time, witnessed changing and chopping and multiple delays, and is again on the backburner but then, moving away from the project, Esha Gupta said, "It (Hera Pheri 3) might still being happening. I was in it till...God rest his soul...the demise of Neeraj Vohra sir (writer of the first Hera Pheri and Director of the second part). He was going to direct the film at that time, but (sighs)...he was too young...too early to have gone. But I wasn't a part of it after that, and I don't even know what's the status of the film now, so please, I'll be the wrong person to give any information about it. The film I was supposed to leave for (prior to lockdown) was Tipsy, which Deepak Tijori is directing."

And as always, this just leads to more mystery and uncertainty over the future of Hera Pheri 3.
