Born on 21st May, 1971, National Award winning director and film producer Aditya Chopra is the son of the late visionary Yash Chopra. The talented Chopra lad turns 49 today. 'Adi', as he is fondly called, took the industry and the nation by a storm with his directional debut Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge . Breaking all records and being one of the most successful films in the history of Indian cinema, DDLJ still remains a favourite of many, especially the romantics. His other directional ventures include Mohabbatein, which launched his brother Uday Chopra and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi which launched Bangalore beauty Anushka Sharma. Aditya is also the chairman of Yash Raj Films, India's biggest conglomerate since 46 years. Papa kehte hain bada naam karega

Aditya Chopra started walking in his papa Yash Chopra's shoes at the age of 18. He worked as an assistant director for Yash Chopra in films like Chandani, Lamhe and Darr. He started working on DDLJ when he was just 23.

Not ready to mingle

Diagnosed with severe APD (Anti-social Personality Disorder) as a child, Adi spent his teenage years, recovering from the disorder.
