Priyanka Chopra shares unseen throwback pic of her parents in army uniforms as a tribute on Memorial Day

Marking the occasion of Memorial Day in the US, where the actress is currently based, and as a mark of commemoration to military families across the world, Priyanka Chopra shared an unseen throwback picture of her parents, her father, the late Ashok Chopra and mother Madhu Chopra, both attired in army uniforms. While it's common knowledge now that Priyanka's dad had served in the Indian army, not many are aware that her mum, too, holds that distinction. The picture is indeed heartwarming and just about the ideal tribute anyone could give to those who've served their nation in the armed forces.

Sharing the pic on her official Instagram handle, Priyanka Chopra captioned it: "Both my parents served in the Indian Army... and maybe that's why I feel such a kinship with military families all over the world. Today let's think of all the fallen heroes that have given their lives in service to protect our freedom. #memorialday @madhumalati #LtcolAshokChopra". Priyanka is currently in the US, under self-quarantine along with husband Nick Jonas. On the work front, the actress will next be seen in the web movie, The White Tiger, opposite Rajkummar Rao. She had also made a guest appearance in her husband's recent music video, Until We Meet Again.
