RIP Rishi Kapoor: Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shares pics from prayer meet, says, 'Your legacy will live on forever'

Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30 and his demise is being mourned by the industry and fans. The sad part is that we have two double blows to deal with. The loss of Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor. Yesterday, it was Rishi Kapoor' terahvin (the 13th day after the actual death) and the family held a prayer meet at their residence. It marks the final day of mourning. The prayer meet had the immediate family, Alia Bhatt, Babita and Randhir Kapoor, Shweta Bachchan and Navya Nanda and Karisma Kapoor. The actor fought blood cancer for two years before he passed away due to breathing issues. He died at the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni posted a couple of pictures on social media. We can see her holding a black and white photograph of Rishi Kapoor. The table is full of flowers like lillies and tuberoses. In another pic, Ranbir Kapoor and she are sitting with folded hands. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, fans could not pay homage to the late star in a befitting manner. The body was taken straight from the hospital to the Chandanwadi crematorium in Marine Lines. Around 20 people were present at the cremation.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni was in Delhi and drove down 1,500 kms from the city to Mumbai after seeking special permission. She was there for the Asthi Visarjan that took place at the Banganga Tank in Walkeshwar. After his demise, she has been sharing some wonderful throwback pictures of the late actor. Rishi Kapoor, the eldest son of Raj Kapoor was one of the biggest matinee idols of India. His family in their statement spoke about how cancer had not dampened his spirit. They wrote, "He remained jovial and determined to live to the fullest right through two years of treatment across two continents. Family, friends, food and films remained his focus and everyone who met him during this time was amazed at how he did not let his illness get the better of him."
