Shah Rukh Khan’s Khar office taken over by BMC for COVID-19 care after being unused since more than a month

Shah Rukh Khan's Khar office in Mumbai has been finally taken over by the BMC for COVID-19 care. It can be recalled that on April 24, the actor and Gauri Khan had offered the office for COVID care but it was lying unused till now. Mumbai is the worst-hit Indian city in this pandemic. The transformation of the building has been done by Meer Foundation. It's an NGO by Shah Rukh Khan for acid attack victims. Gauri Khan had also shared a video of how the office-turned-quarantine facility looks like.

"This crisis is not going to pass in a hurry; it will take its time and its toll on all of us. It will also show us that there isn't really a choice between looking out for ourselves and looking out for one another," the actor had said in a statement.

"There's nothing more obvious in the spread of this pandemic, than the fact that each one of us is inextricably connected to each other, without any distinction," the actor added.

He also said, "I am going to try my best and I know each one of you will do so too. Only together we will be able to fight through these difficult and unimaginable days."

The actor recently shared a post about his lockdown lessons. It read, "Lockdown lessons...That we have been living far beyond our exigencies, most of which don't really matter as much as we thought they did. That we really don't need (emotionally) more people around us than the ones we feel like talking to while we are locked up. That we can stop the clock for a bit and reimagine our lives when the rush to acquire false securities is peeled away from us. That we can laugh with those we fought so hard...and know that our ideas weren't actually any bigger than theirs. And above all, love is still worth it, no matter what anyone else tells you!"
