Tuesday Trivia: Did you know that Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge's song Mere Khwabon Mein, was written 24 times?

Filmmaker Aditya Chopra's Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge aka DDLJ is one of the most loved films of Bollywood. The romantic drama is special for many movie-buffs for more reasons than one. Right from SRK's charismatic romance and his mesmerising chemistry with Kajol to some memorable dialogues and evergreen songs all these factors have made DDLJ a classic and we can't deny the fact, that whenever this film comes on TV, we watch it without giving a second thought.

Whenever a movie is made, especially a legendary one, numerous stories and memories keep coming out. So, we are sharing one such interesting trivia, which happened during the making of DDLJ. The Mere Khwabon Mein song from the film, which features lead actress Kajol, is still famous among fans, but do you know that it gave a tough time to its lyricist, the late-great Anand Bakshi, as it was written 24 times before it got approved. Reportedly, the lyricist wrote the song and showed it to Director Adi Chopra, and he kept rejecting it until the 24th time.

Also starring Parmeet Sethi, Anupam Kher, Mandira Bedi, Himani Shivpuri, Amrish Puri, Satish Shah, Farida Jalal and Pooja Ruparel, Dilwale Dulhani Le Jayenge was produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The film also features Karan Johar in a special appearance, who plays Shah Rukh Khan's friend in the romantic drama. It went on to gross over Rs. 100 crore at the global box office, and emerged a worldwide blockbuster. DDLJ went to win 10 Filmfare Awards in 1996, including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Film, Best Singer (Male), Best Supporting Actress, Best Performance in a Comic Role, Best Lyricist, Best Dialogue and many more.
