Anurag Kashyap and daughter Aaliyah's dance videos on TikTok will make you smile

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap usually comes across as a serious guy. But there is a fun side to him as well. Don't believe us? Well, on his daughter Aaliyah's TikTok account, there are videos of them dancing together. They are really fun videos and will leave you with a smile. Anurag married film editor Aarti Bajaj in 1997. Aaliyah is their daughter. The got divorced in 2009.

On the work front, Anurag Kashyap's Choked released recently. Talking to us about its response, the filmmaker told us, "The response has been overwhelmingly good. I wanted to see how the movie fares. I had this huge hangover from Gangs Of Wasseypur. Everyone wants me to make movies about dons. I wanted to move on."

He also spoke about how OTT platforms work in his favour. "It lets you focus totally on your content and gives you that strength. When you make a feature film, box office comes into play and some random marketing is pre-decided for your film. Here, everything is about the story and narrative. I can give my best version of my story. You don't have to cast actors as per box-office. The film is budgeted on the basis of what is needed to make a correct film and that is great," he stated.

The filmmaker also spoke about Abhay Deol recently. "It was painfully difficult to work with him. I don't really have great working memories with him. And haven't talked to him much since I finished shooting. He wanted to do artistic movies but also wanted the mainstream benefits. The benefits and luxuries of being a 'Deol'. He would stay in a 5-star hotel while the entire crew stayed in Paharganj for a film that was made on a very tight budget. Also the reason a lot of his directors went away from him."
