'Drenched in your love,' Irrfan Khan's wife Sutapa and son Babil remember him as the monsoons arrive

Irrfan Khan left us on April 29. It has been more than a month but the loss feels personal for so many all over the world. Post his demise, his wife Sutapa Sikdar and son, Babil have shared many memories of the late actor. As fans, we are very indebted to them for the same. As the monsoons come to Mumbai, they have penned notes on how Irrfan Khan 'read the rain' . It looks like it was his favourite season. Sutapa Sikdar also shared a picture of a Kachnar tree planted by him on World Environment Day. The tree was planted by Irrfan Khan at Ahana Resorts in Kalgundi. She wrote, "And the rain comes I hear you Irrfan.. Between that realm and this the rain connects.. I am drenched in your love." Irrfan and Sutapa met at the National School Of Drama in Delhi.

His son, Babil Khan also posted a picture and spoke about his dad's connection with the rains. Fans were moved and said they could see Irrfan in the manner in which Babil put forth his thoughts.

Irrfan Khan was suffering from neuroendocrine tumour for last two years. He underwent treatment in London and came back to India in 2019. The actor also completed work on Angrezi Medium (2020). His co-star Radhika Madan has told Mumbai Mirror how she wants to take ahead his legacy of content-driven cinema. He died due to a colon infection. His death was mourned the world over. We also get emotional when we see such posts from Sutapa Sikdar and Babil.
