Post his niece's sexual harassment allegations, Nawazuddin Siddiqui's producer REVEALS he's willing to 'tell actors off' [Exclusive]

Given the huge controversies that Nawazuddin Siddiqui currently finds himself in in after shocking allegations of abuse from his wife, Aaliya, and sexual harassment from his niece (name withheld), we decided to put the actor's Haraamkhor and The Lunchbox producer, Shan Vyas, on the spot in a recent exclusive interview for our Bollywood news section, and inquired if he'd cast the actor again. "If a role is good for Nawaz, then in that sense, maybe...(pauses)actually, to answer your question, I'm not a 100% sure of the controversy he's surrounded in," said Shaan.

So we quickly explained him how his the actor's wife, Aaliya, alleged that she's been exposed to sever physical and mental abuse to go with public disrespect at the hands of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family, and how his niece (name withheld) has claimed to have been sexually harassed, almost raped, and physically assaulted by Nawaz's younger brother, Minazuddin, yet her claims were always dismissed by the actor whenever she tried confiding in him, which were followed by mental trauma and false police complaints against her and her husband.

After careful consideration, Shaan replied, "Under my watch, I'll make sure nothing goes wrong as a producer. And if that involves telling actors off that this is not the right way to do things, then not just me, but no producer wishes this to happen. The second thing I want to emphasise because we are also talking about Natkhat (he has produced the Vidya Balan short film, for which we were interviewing him) is that the film had a gender-equal crew. Since the film is about gender-equality, we've also manged to have almost a 50% ration of men to women. So, I am very conscious of the power women in a film. I say, 'Behind every successful film is a woman,' that's like my personal opinion on gender equality even when it comes to crews on film sets."

Coming back to casting Nawaz again though, he added, "I don't know how to answer this question because I feel it still requires me to know a lot more about such cases before commenting."
