Late Wajid Khan's mother, Razina Khan tests positive for COVID-19

The untimely demise of music composer, Wajid Khan shocked the entertainment industry. And while the closed ones are still trying to overcome this phase, it has been reported that the mother of later composer has now been tested positive for COVID-19. As per the TOI report, Razina Khan came in contact with COVID-19 patients when Wajid Khan was going under treatment for kidney issues in the same hospital. A source told ABP news, "Wajid's mother Razina had already contracted Coronavirus before the late musician was infected with the virus. Wajid, who was suffering from kidney and throat infection, tested positive for COVID-19 later."

"Sajid-Wajid's mother is better now and her condition has improved. She stayed in Surana Sethia hospital to take care of her ailing son. However, she contracted COVID-19 after she came in contact with other Coronavirus patients at the hospital", the source added. The composer passed away in the wee hours on Monday. Composer Salim Merchant of the Salim-Suleiman duo was among the first person to confirm this news with his tweet. "Devastated with the news of the passing away of my brother Wajid of Sajid -Wajid fame. May Allah give strength to the family.. Safe travels bro.. @wajidkhan7 you've gone too soon. It's a huge loss to our fraternity. I'm shocked & broken," wrote Salim.

Singer Sukhwinder Singh, who worked with composer told us, "This is extremely painful for me. Wajid was a natural talent in this era of auto tune and electronic music. We have done close to 15 songs together. While Hud Hud Dabangg is known not many are aware that Lagan Lagi from Tere Naam is also our collaboration. Himesh Reshammiya was the composer but that number was done by them. It is one of Salman's biggest hits. At times, he would compose a song just like that sitting in the studio. Wajid had a great voice and was a wonderful human being. His humility and polite behavior made a place in your heart. I spoke to him some months back. I do not even want to delete the messages sent by him. I feel sad that God is taking away such special talents. Right from the Irrfan to Rishi Sir and now Wajid, it is heart breaking. "
