#BLBestOf6: Panchayat's Neena Gupta, Aarya's Sushmita Sen, Guilty's Kiara Advani — vote for the Best Actress in a Web Series/Web Movie in the first half of 2020

With many of us still uncertain to venture out despite lockdown being slightly relaxed, and given the rate at which web series and web films have mushroomed across the country, people have begun binge-watching content on OTT platforms in this period like never before. However, only a select few among them in the space of Indian digital content have left an impression, and along with the writing and production values, major credit for this must go to the actors who brought the character in these ground-breaking shows and films. Today, as a part of our special #BLBestOf6 event, we are here to talk about the best actors (female) in Indian online content over the first six months of 2020, and have shortlisted six names that truly left a mark. It's your job to vote and tell us who among these six is the Best Web Series/Web Movie Actress in the first half of 2020.

(Note: We've not included those performances that were a part of films, which were initially supposed to release in theatres, but later opted for OTT platforms.)

1.) Neena Gupta Panchayat

Neena Gupta has been proving since decades that there's absolutely nothing she can't do on screen, and once again, she nailed her part in this homely throwback to the Indian serials of yesteryears.

2.) Sushmita Sen Aarya

Sushmita Sen reminded us all what we have been missing during her self-imposed 10-year sabbatical from Bollywood, elevating a good show, to 'great' status on the strength of her performance alone.

3.) Kiara Advani Guilty

Kiara Advani has already proven her mettle in her fledgling Bollywood career, but it took the web space to land her a role where she could truly sink her teeth into.

4.) Anuja Sathe Ek Thi Begum

The surprise package of the year on OTT platforms though (Indian or foreign content) has got to be Anuja Sathe, who blew everyone's socks away with her scarcely believable act in this little-known gem of a web series.

5.) Aahana Kumra Marzi

Aahana Kumra is now a pro when it comes to online content, and she proved her worth yet again in a show that would've been nowhere near as good had it not been for hers and Rajeev Khandelwal's performances.

6.) Geetanjali Kulkarni Taj Mahal 1989

It took this heartwarming web show (a rarity for Netflix India) for the rest of the country to sit up and take notice what theatre connoisseurs knew all along that Geetanjali Kulkarni is so much more than the character roles she would get in Bollywood.
